I've led a life full of creating handmade pieces of art, and in April of 2002 began my adventure in glass bead making. After over 5 years of jewelry design and purchasing glass beads from fellow artists, I decided to try my hand at creating my own beads, and the rest is history. My style is typically full of bright colors, precise decoration, a little whimsy tossed in for fun, and my passion is for creating larger focal pieces and sculpted shapes. In May, 2006 I decided to leave the corporate world in order to pursue my artwork full time. Each bead and piece of jewelry is handcrafted one by one in my home studio located near Dallas, Texas.
I was featured on HGTV's "Crafters Coast-to-Coast" (now called "That's Clever") in May 2005, making a heart-shaped focal bead and a necklace for a national TV audience. What an exciting adventure that was! On a whim, I submitted pictures of my work to HGTV and wound up being one of their featured Dallas artists!
My beads are handcrafted one-by-one in my home studio, are always carefully cleaned, and kiln annealed to ensure a long life. Unless otherwise noted in my item description, my beads are all created on 3/32" mandrels.
My jewelry incorporates only the finest components: my unique handmade glass beads, sterling silver, ornate Bali and Thai silver, genuine gemstones and Swarovski crystals.
